A Day With Out Money - Saturday, June 19
Forty percent of the world's population (2.6 billion people) lives on less than $2 a day compared with the average Amercian that lives on $105 a day. To fully experience and appreciate what life is like without the resources we are accustomed to, we are challenging ourselves to live on $2 or less on Saturday, June 19. Real Life Exhibit Field Trip: Sunday, June 27th @ 3:00pm
We will be taking a fieldtrip to experience The Real Life Exhibit at Medical Teams International. This experience dramatically demonstrates the profound needs of our world. Due to the nature of the exhibit, these fieldtrips are limited to 10 years old and above. Please sign up at the Information Counter. Ladies Night Out - Dinner & A Movie: Friday June 18th at 6:00pm
Mark your calendars and plan to enjoy a night out with dinner and a movie at the church. We hope you will join the fun and fellowship of a tailgate themed dinner and movie: The Blind Side. Childcare will be available. There is not cost for this event: contact Teri Zahn at 503-781-072 to sign up.
Adopt-A-Block Barbeques
Come serve and get to know some of our neighbors in Newberg as we kick off the BBQ season! This is a great opportunity to impact the lives of others as well as your own.
* 9th Street BBQ: Tuesday, June 22nd @ 6:00pm. If you would like to participate, please contact Clyde & Teri Zahn at 503-538-7757 or clydezahn@yahoo.com. We will meet at the apartments on 9th & Blaine at 6pm. The 9th Street barbeques will be on the 4th Tuesday of each month through September.
* E. 3rd Street BBQ: Thursday, June 24th @ 5:45pm. Please contact Dan Busch at danbusch89@gmail.com if you would like to participate. We will gather at Walgreen’s at 5:45pm, near the pharmacy drive-thru, and then head over together. The E. 3rd Street barbeques will be on the last Thursday of each month through September.
